Payment rails / integration
A named payment rail is context, not an integration promise
Qatar Central Bank documents national retail payment systems. A build still begins with the client’s actual merchant status, bank or provider, approved API, test environment, commercial terms, security requirements, and accounting process.
Prepare the project brief- Currency
- QAR where contracted
- Credentials
- Client-owned
- Provider approval
- Never implied
Confirm the commercial path
The client identifies seller identity, customer type, products or services, price and tax ownership, billing currency, settlement account, refund rules, disputes, and customer support. Faith Forge Labs uses those decisions to design the checkout or invoice flow without writing legal or tax policy.
- Seller and merchant owner
- QAR display and rounding
- Terms, cancellation, and refund owner
- Receipts and reconciliation evidence
Treat the provider as a controlled dependency
The integration record names the provider, approved account, API version, sandbox, webhook verification, idempotency behavior, secrets owner, failure modes, and support path. Credentials stay in protected configuration and never in source, logs, screenshots, or sample content.
- Signed callbacks and replay protection
- Retry-safe transactions
- Accessible error recovery
- No card data unless the approved design requires it
Validate more than a successful payment
A complete test covers declined and abandoned attempts, duplicate submissions, delayed callbacks, refunds, partial failures, timeouts, reconciliation, customer notification, and monitoring. Production enablement remains a client/provider decision after the agreed evidence passes.
- Sandbox and approved test instruments
- Failure and duplicate handling
- Settlement and ledger match
- Rollback and disable path
Name the provider and reconciliation owner
Bring the merchant relationship, desired customer flow, settlement model, refund process, and current technical documentation to the feasibility review.
